We have a range of projects promoting and researching Inclusion in Scotland

Please click on any of the projects below to find out more:

Altrum Voices is a group set up to support a dialogue between people who use different types of services in Scotland, to share ideas, find common learning and build agendas for change.

Dates and Mates is an accessible membership based dating and friendship agency run by and for people with a learning disability.

in Control Scotland was set up to transform the organisation of social care and support in Scotland so that people can gain more control over their support and their lives, and fulfil their role as full citizens.

Partners in PolicyMaking is an internationally recognised leadership development programme for disabled adults and parents of disabled children.  It h e c graduationfocusses on skills, knowledge and confidence, building the qualities needed to work effectively as a change agent in one's own life and to influence and create policy locally or even nationally.

The Higher Education Certificate in the Person Centred Approach was developed as a collaboration between Altrum, and Queen Margaret University. It is now delivered by the Thistle Foundation in partnership with QMU, and with support from the Scottish European planning togetherSocial Fund. The quality and value of the course was recognised in 2005 by a Scottish Award from the National Training Awards and a Lifelong Learning Best Practice Award from ESF ObjectiveThree Partnership.

The Five Dimensions of Inclusion Evaluation Team is a three year Altrum Project to develop evaluation and feedback processes for organisations that are working for more inclusive services and communities. Nine organisations are part of the project and people who use services, family members and others are being trained and coached to become evaluators.on a training course

The Altrum Sexuality Project  has been running since 2005 when a group of Altrum organisations began to talk together about finding ways to offer support in this important area of life.

Our The Altrum RISK Project , explores what the people think. Many approaches to risk are skewed towards the view that organisations and funders have about risk taking. This innovative project uses drama to find out what people who have disabilities want in their lives.
